Sugarman Law attorney, Shara Sanders, recently traveled to Tegucigalpa, Honduras with Oak Grove United Methodist Church to support the village of Las Flores with construction and educational assistance. The 14 adults worked side-by-side with Las Flores’s residents to build and paint rooms in the community’s health clinic; construct outdoor latrines, kitchens, and washing stations; mix and pour concrete floors and patios at homes and the local cemetery; purchase school supplies for the first and second grade classes; serve lunch and visit with residents at a mental health residence; and provide an afternoon of crafts, treats, music, and fun to the community’s children.
